About
Founded in Amsterdam. Working with clients everywhere. Never taking on more than we can handle well.
Blox started in 2019 when our founder Joris got tired of watching clients get burned by big agencies. The pattern was always the same: overpriced, over-promised, under-delivered, and the client left holding a website they couldn't update and a relationship they couldn't call.
So we went small, on purpose. We cap the number of projects we take on so that every client gets real attention. There's no account manager playing telephone between you and the designer. You talk to the person actually doing the work.
In five years we've worked with restaurants, law firms, SaaS startups, e-commerce brands, and a sheep farm in Wales. The brief is always different. The approach is always the same: understand the problem first, then build the site.

Joris has been designing for the web since Flash was still a thing. He's obsessed with typography and will spend 40 minutes on a single font pairing. Clients love the results. The rest of the team loves him anyway.
Ana writes code that future developers won't curse. She's the reason our sites load in under 2 seconds and our Lighthouse scores are embarrassingly good. Previously at a fintech startup, now happily at Blox.
Rafi asks the uncomfortable questions — why are you building this, who's it actually for, what do you want them to do when they land. He also writes the words when clients are stuck, which is often.
Not every project is right for us. If we don't think we can do a great job, we'll tell you. We'd rather refer you to someone better suited than take your money and produce something mediocre.
You'll get a fixed-price quote before we start. If scope changes, we tell you immediately with a revised number. We've never sent a surprise invoice. We're not starting now.
When the project's done, it's yours. Every line of code, every asset, every file. We don't hold anything hostage behind a monthly platform fee.
Our average delivery is 5 days for a first draft. That's not because we cut corners — it's because we've done this enough times to know what works. Speed and quality aren't opposites.
"Blox delivered our new site in under two weeks. It looks incredible and our bounce rate dropped by half. But the thing I'll remember is that they actually gave a damn about what we were building.
